OUR INITIATIVES
Έλεος exists to bring healing and restorative practices through education and creative expression therapy. Έλεος extends the mission in advocacy as we aim to encourage, integrate, provide assistance, and address injustice with a focus on empowering people. People who are journeying from war-torn, compromised environments in their country of origin, often bringing traumatic experiences, lack of education, and fundamental development. The foundation initiative desires to help facilitate these resources and support restorative practices for those needing a helping hand and searching for hope.
Our focus is to support and empower local initiatives, people, and groups in Athens and the surrounding area.
Specifically, the Έλεος initiative is thankful to provide scholarships for housing, education, training, and living. In addition, Έλεος contributes to the community needs when possible, providing groceries, baby formula, prescriptions, medical assistance, and emergency housing to marginalized and at-risk populations in Athens and the surrounding area. We are humbled to encourage and support the following ministries in Athens: Love Every Nation, Threads of Hope and Victory Among Nations.
Through The Water initiative is designed to promote wellness and restoration to people who have served or are currently serving in the military. Through The Water initiative, capitalizes on the physical and psychological benefits of water based therapeutic modalities.
The foundation initiative desires to assist military members by providing a variety of venues at no charge to the participants who desire to obtain the physical and emotional benefit of water therapies. A few of the water therapies supported by Through The Water include float therapy, swimming therapy, cold water submersion therapy, and beach therapy.
The primary goal is to offer any active or inactive military member with tools to mitigate the active and latent impact of a high stress environment. Moreover, we provide a means to sustain wellness with regular use of modalities that best fit the consumer of the Through The Water initiative supported by the Craven-Martin Foundation.
